Hello everyone and thanks for reading the very first post of Comic Shop Corner, the weekly post where I profile the biggest comics from major publishers (DC, Marvel, Darkhorse, Image and IDW Publishing) as well as a spotlight on indie books or books coming out on the lesser publishers, we have a lot of comics to go over so let's get right into it.
Dark Horse Comics:
Kiss Me, Satan! #1
Cassian Steele is the boss of the werewolf mafia in the Big Easy, and he's got a problem. The old witch Verona knows his secret and has gone into hiding. Cassian wants her dead. So he sends out the word: An open contract. The first monster to dust Verona gets a big payday. What no one realizes is that Barnabus Black, a demon desperately trying to regain his halo, is her protection. Kiss Me, Satan! is a pulp action ride with supernatural horror elements and Dark Horse is using it as a launch title for their new fall horror line of comics. The cover art by Dave Johnson looks amazing and makes this a must read for any horror comic fan.

It's Arkham Asylum unleashed on humanity--and it's all the Scarecrow has ever wanted! IDW Publishing:
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic #11
If I told you 2 of the top 3 selling non DC or Marvel comics were The Walking Dead and Adventure Time, you'd probably believe me, but what if I tell you this rounds out the top 3? This title shows that comics aren't just for boys anymore. In this new installment love is in the air as Katie Cook and Andy Price reveal the secret history of Shinning Armor and Princess Cadence's love! Before they were royalty, they were two teenagers who had no idea how to talk to each other! Find out how the romance started right here!

As hundreds of inmates riot in an effort to escape from Stronghold Penitentiary, Dragon faces the deadly Dread Knight! Marvel Comics
Captain Marvel #16
Thanos continues to plot his dominance as Marvel continues their Infinity storyline with Issue #3 of 6 out this week but as it's become the norm, publishers always release a butt load of tie-in issues to the major storyline. This week we're going to spotlight one of the better sounding ones as Carol Danvers continues being one of Marvel's main cogs as Captain Marvel, and issue 16 proves no different as Captain Marvel and Hawkeye are interrogated and Spider-Woman and Black Widow plot a breakout... Little do they know that Captain Marvel doesn't need rescuing! This concludes the 2 part tie in.

Spotlight:
Bongo Comics: Simpsons Treehouse of Horror #19
Yes, it is that time of year again, Halloween is just around the corning and one of the top 5 things about Halloween is by far The Simpsons and their Treehouse of Horror series, this years comic has us looking at Bart being sentenced to serve detention in old library in the subterranean bowels at Springfield Elementary, but Bart discovers The Book of the Dead and accidentally unleashes the Cthulhu on an unsuspecting Springfield. Then, Lunchlady Doris is finally fired for serving subhuman grade cuisine and replaced by the best the school food service industry has to offer. Soon the students are healthier and smarter than ever before, which can only lead to one thing - world domination! (And you thought we meant better state test scores.)
