Special: Top 10 Christmas Music Video's

We know the songs, but what exactly are the best Christmas music videos out there to watch this holiday season? Well it's a good thing I'm around to point you in the right direction. Below is this weeks special... The Top 10 Christmas themed music videos...

10. All These Lights - Christmas Wish

Why: Okay, I'm a bit biased given I was present at the filming of this music video, but all that said this is still a fun video. The guys in All These Lights are clearly having a blast shooting their first video, and the crowd is obviously into it as well, I know because I was there. Have I mentioned that yet?

9. Set It Off - This Christmas (I'll Burn It To The Ground)

Why: This video was just released a couple weeks ago and admittedly at first I was left cringing wondering why glow in the dark scorpions have anything to do with Christmas. But as you continue watching and listen to the words of the song, it really is a refreshing break from all the Christmas love songs and gives you that Nightmare Before Christmas feeling especially when the snake is climbing on the tree.

8. Taking Back Sunday - 12 Days Of Christmas

Why: Granted this is one of the weirder videos on the list, and really most scenes aren't very Christmas-y. What it does have is a nice shot of nostalgia with the 80's animation style and is really just a pleasure to watch. Not to mention the song itself is hilarious, and the visuals itself make it a treat to all your senses... Well most... If only you could smell that mustached tree...

7. New Found Glory - The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)

Why: I really should rename this list "holiday" music videos but really I don't get offended to that kind of stuff. The same would go for New Found Glory seeing as how half their members are Jewish. Though to be fair they do have some Hanukkah fun in this video on top of the Christmas cheer, they even a brief shout out to those celebrating Kwanzaa (keep it real). But mostly NFG is just having a good time decorating and destroying their studio.

6. Patent Pending - She's A Ho-Ho-Ho, Merry Christmas

Why: 2007 seems like so long ago doesn't it? This is before Patent Pending's original singer left but Joe still gets a verse so if you're used to recent Patent Pending that will give you some familiarity. The video itself has the guys, and even Santa!, getting a nice gift in the form of a ho-ho-ho who will just about always give it up thanks to her past. Though Patent Pending goes all A Christmas Carol on her to try to get her to change her ways.

5. The Ramones - Merry Christmas (I Don't Want To Fight Tonight)

Why: Everyone's got time for Classic Punk Rock around the holidays right? Punk Rock was born in The Ramones instruments and it's a gift they brought to Christmas with this 3 cord power song accompanied by a video about a couple that just can't stop fighting over the holidays... And even when they do, a red scarf is quick to restart the fighting, no matter how much The Ramones plead.

4. Fighting For Ithaca - Partying With Santa

Why: FFI was signed to follow in Marianas Trench's footsteps at 604 Records, and although that is yet to happen they did put out a really cool Christmas video where Santa unknowingly slides down the chimney in the middle of a party and decided that the kids of the world don't appreciate him enough so he's going to spend Christmas partying with some Canadian musicians. The only thing that keeps this from being higher is that you can see the pillow in Santa's jacket... Tisk tisk.

3. All Time Low - Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass!

Why: It's got everything a good Christmas video should have... Bad dancing: Check. Mistletoe: Check. Crotch Stockings: Check. Romance: Check. Cursing: Check. A Muppet: Check.

2. Real Friends - I Had A Heart

Why: At first it doesn't seem like much, but if you really listen and watch you'll find that the video compliments the song perfectly. As a man struggles to deal with the difficulty of losing someone over the holidays to another man. The raw emotion of this video is felt in every frame and you'll soon realize after watching that not everyone has a Merry Christmas and we should be thankful for what we do have.

1. A Day To Remember - Right Where You Want Me To Be

Why: Now this is the ultimate Christmas party video. The boys in ADTR all wear various Christmas outfits while playing in front of a wrapping paper background with friends and decorations around them before they hit the presents and the egg nog hard... Wait Santa doesn't have egg nog... Wait is that even Santa?
