Woo! Comic Shop Corner! Yay! Comics! Neat!

Blood Brothers #3

It's not too often we see a horror series aimed at children, but that's exactly what this series does with it's ages 8+ rating as this mini series concludes with this issue. As the vernal equinox approaches, a ritual begins which could give one vampire dominion over an army of immortal warriors. Still butting heads because Nick wants to forsake his immortality for the woman he loves, can our two blood-drinking heroes quit bickering long enough to save the world?

Marvel Comics

Cataclysm #0.1

Why with X-Men Battle Of The Atom finishing and Infinity ongoing would I decide to spotlight this? Well there is so much secretcy around it. First in October's solicitations it read "Classified" then we were told at SDCC that Galactus was going to tear open the barrier between the ultimate and main Marvel universe and that the Ultimates would have to fight him. Then we get a preview that is unlettered (read: Just the art) what can be hiding in these pages? I'm excited to find out...

Also available: Infinty #5, X-Men: Battle Of The Atom #2, Avengers #22, Captain America: Living Legend #2, Superior Spider-Man Team-Up Special #1, Guardians Of The Galaxy #8, Kick-Ass 3 #4, Superior Spider-Man #20, Punisher: The Trial Of The Punisher #2, Avengers A.I. #5, and many more!

Spotlight:

BOOM! Studios: Hellraiser Annual 2013

WHY I LIKE IT: A big part of what makes Hellraiser a horror classic is its expansive world and deep mythology, and annuals give you an opportunity to dive deeper! WHY YOU WILL LOVE IT: Brandon Seifert created and writes one of our favorite horror procedurals, Witch Doctor, and truly understands what makes the Cenobites tick. And lets not forget Clive Barker is still overseeing this. WHAT IT'S ABOUT: In this extra-large special issue, Brandon Seifert and Ben Meares go even deeper into the mysteries of Leviathan and his plans for Harry D'Amour, Kirsty Cotton, and Elliott Spencer.

Well guys hope you enjoyed this last Halloween special, look forward to November when I give you a break from this just to blindside you with Christmas specials in December.
